CalmandStrong: Acknowledgments
I published my autobiography “CalmandStrong: Some People Walk in Each Other’s Shoes… I Carry Mine” in March, and I’ve been marketing it on my social media networks such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Tumblr. Before I wrote the first draft of my book, I decided to become an inspirational speaker, and I joined Toastmasters at CSUSB to help sharpen my skills as an inspirational speaker. I also started volunteering at Loma Linda Children Hospital to help other children, teen

Delay for my new Prosthetic Leg
A week before Thanksgiving, I had to turn in my prosthetic leg to my Doctor, so he could adjust the socket. I had a follow-up appointment on Nov. 28th, and it turns out that I had to get a new socket made because I was literally falling out of the current one connected to my prosthetic leg. When my Doctor got done making the prototype, I sat in it and it fitted a lot tighter than the last socket did, which was a good sign. The only down side was that I could still force mysel

New Prosthetic Leg Coming Sooner Than Expected
On Oct. 23rd, I got a call from Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics and they asked if I could come into the office because my prosthetic leg was back after being shipped to be laminated. My Doctor wanted to make a few more adjustments while I was walking in my new leg. While I was putting my prosthetic leg on, my Doctor said the laminating part of the socket (the top part of the prosthetic) was too stiff and it needs to be shipped back, so it could be loose and more comfortable

Experience Life Through the Shoes of me: Part II
On Sept. 22nd, I had a doctor’s appointment with Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics and all the parts to build my prosthetic leg was in the office. I was waiting while my doctor was putting my leg together, and he showed me the knee part of my prosthetic. I held it and I told him it was heavy. He said my new prosthetic leg overall will be heavier than my old one, but it won’t feel as heavy because of the technology built inside. The technology inside my knee is powered by Bluet
